| Apr. 25th, 2006 03:54 am Movie - Sarkar Inspired by The Godfather, Ram Gopal Varma's crime drama centers on powerful patriarch and gangster Subhash Nagare, aka Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan). When his film producer son Vishnu (Kay Kay) murders a movie star, Sarkar turns his back on the young man, a decision that leads Vishnu into a gang conspiracy to kill his father. As the intrigue and duplicity multiply, it's up to Sarkar's other son (Abhishek Bachchan) to save his father's life.
This is a movie not to be missed. Seems a lot similar to Nayagan and Thevar Magan combined. Amitabh and Abhishek combination makes the movie a little different. The intensity that they both bring is great. The movie could be watched again just for these two. Other than that the story and stuff the same. RGV has his touch and that means, there are lesser flaws you could find. Leave a comment | |
